Lorendo High Performance doors and windows are Energy Star® certified, a symbol of excellence in energy efficiency. To display the Energy Star logo, our Lorendo products had to pass a series of tests according to procedures prescribed by the federal government, demonstrating that they meet or exceed Canadian energy efficiency standards.

Energy Star® windows and doors save energy. They contribute to maintaining your comfort throughout the year. In winter, they keep you warm, in summer, cool. They reduce outside noise. And, depending on the humidity level in your home, they will have much less condensation on the windows in cold weather.

In fact, its effectiveness lies in its enhanced 2mm thick multiple air chambers PVC profile and its exterior structural sash. Specifications developed by Lorendo, this profile is the thickest on the Quebec market to date. It is stronger and more rigid making it more efficient, more durable and much easier to install! Like the other Lorendo high performance PVC profiles, HEAVY-DUTY is also Energy Star® certified and in addition, comes with a lifetime warranty* (all-white PVC windows)!

Note that the HEAYV-DUTY profile is suitable for casement and awning window models inclusively and is available with the contemporary sash.

Our exclusive Heavy-Duty PVC windows are made of 3 high-tech extruded and welded PVC profiles. Thanks to an integrated anti-infiltration design, our system of 4 ENERMAX weatherstrips (2 of which are coextruded on the PVC profile and then welded together with the PVC frame) ensures optimal long-term air & watertightness as well as thermal performance.

All the performance tests

Tested at -30°C, -40°C, -50°C and -60°C and under different temperatures and climatic conditions to demonstrate their resistance to harsh weather and aging. Tested at 500, 1000, 1500, 2000 and up to 4500 opening and closing cycles. Tested in accordance with the current Québec Building Code NAFS-08 standards and the 2010 Canadian Building Code AAMA / WDMA / CSA / 101 / I.S.2 / A440 and complied with ASTM D4726 standards.

Certificate

Certified PVC-AAMA-303, meaning they have passed the weatherability, impact resistance, crack resistance, tensile strength, resistance to temperature changes and linear expansion coefficient tests.

Our Heavy-Duty PVC profiles and multi-air chamber configuration are robust and designed to absorb pressure variations caused by temperature differences between the outer and inner regions of the window. Lorendo High Performance windows remain stable, do not warp and do not crack in large temperature changes such as heat and cold.

Argon gas insulation + stainless steel air frame

Minimizes condensation, ice formation and resists corrosion.

Lorendo high performance windows are equipped with sealed glass units combining Argon gas and the stainless steel air spacing frame system INTERCEPT™, an open U profile renowned for its incomparable strength, durability and corrosion resistance. This spacer does not have notched corners, making it the most resistant in the industry and ensuring the most reliable thermal performance in terms of argon retention with a less than 0.1% rate of loss annually. Because of greater flexibility during major temperature variations found in Quebec, it remains airtight, minimize condensation, absorb humidity and resist corrosion.

LOW-EMISSION INSULATING GLASS

Lorendo high performance windows are equipped with SUNGATE ™ 400 Low-E insulating glass with low emissivity. This high quality glass combines the energy performance and comfort characteristics needed for the cold regions of Quebec and North America. This high performance glass effectively stores heat, which reduces your heating costs. It keeps you warm on cold winter nights and cool on hot summer days.

The frames of our Lorendo doors and windows are strong, sturdy and efficient. Our anti-twist PVC jam extensions and frame systems are designed to stay rigid during maneuvers. They therefore facilitate the installation process and minimize adjustments making you save time and money in your project! Our frames are available in several types and depths.
Our jam extensions are offered in several options: pine, jointed pine, wood covered with PVC.

FAQ

Where is your window and door manufacturing plant located?

All our custom windows and doors manufacturing installation are located in Montmagny on the south shore of beautiful St-Lawrence river, 30 minutes from Quebec city. We've been manufacturing quality products for the harsh Quebec and Canadian climate for over 100 years.

How do I know when to change my doors and windows?

Here are a few things to consider when inspecting the current windows in your home: deterioration of the weather stripping; opening and/or closing shutters; the air that seeps inside; the appearance of condensation between the panes; the appearance of mold. You may also want to update the look of your home or improve its energy efficiency. And when you know that installing new windows can save you energy, it's a very good incentive.

Do you replace thermos, mosquito screens or window mechanisms?

Yes, we can replace the sealed glass (thermos) of your windows, doors and patio doors of all kinds, even if the products to be replaced were not manufactured by Lorendo. Yes, bring your window or patio door frame(s) and we will custom cut to seize and install the mosquito screen(s). Yes, we can replace small components such as cranks, opening operators, etc. We hold an inventory of components for Lorendo doors and windows. Certain conditions may apply depending on the age or generation of your Lorendo products.

Do you offer the repair of existing windows?

Yes, we can repair your Lorendo doors and windows provided of course that the age or generation of the products allows us to do so. Certain conditions may apply.

Do you have installation guides?

Yes, we have installation guides for every type of window and door. We also provide an installation service and recommend trained authorized installers and contractors for the Quebec, Lévis, Montmagny and Rivière-du-Loup regions, ensuring professional installations according to the latest and current standards.

What are the prices of your products?
